Questions for Greg Nicholls

Could you briefly introduce Evo-Spirit and its history?

Evo-Spirit is a great story that began in 2008. Originally, Benoît Liot and I, both passionate about skateboarding and riding, discovered the first electric skateboard prototypes and created Evo-Skate. In 2015, leveraging our experience, we expanded our range and renamed the company Evo-Spirit. Today, we offer electric skateboards, scooters, and electric motorcycles.

What are your flagship products?

We are historically the leading French brand for electric skateboards. Our skateboards remain our flagship products, but our range of Fatscoot and EvoChopper scooters is rapidly developing.

Why the diversification?

In 2008, electric skateboards primarily appealed to riders. Scooters and gyroroues didn't exist. With over 10 years of experience, we've expanded our offerings to reach a wider audience, while keeping the joy of riding at the heart of every product.

What are the EvoChopper's strengths?

An electric motorcycle inspired by the American chopper. 2.000W, speed limited to 45 km/h, L1E approved with registration. Comfortable riding position, easy and stable to ride. Plus, the pleasure of riding silently and without CO2 emissions.

How do you develop your products?

It all depends on the equipment. For some, we handle the entire design, from 3D drawing to production. For others, we take a generic base and improve it. Our over 10 years of expertise allow us to enhance details that make all the difference in use. Our main concern is reliability. We use only Samsung and LG batteries, most of which are assembled in France. We are the only brand to offer a 2-year warranty on batteries.

How do you handle after-sales support?

After-sales support is truly Evo-Spirit's strong point. We have a dedicated person in the workshop, and all spare parts are available, even years after a model is discontinued. All our equipment is designed to be repairable by users. A phone call, a technician diagnoses the issue, and 48 hours later, the problem is resolved.
