Discover how Evo-Spirit makes your electric skateboards compliant with the EDPM decree for safe and legal electric mobility.
EDPM Decree:
Evo-Spirit is Compliant
Ride legally on the road in urban areas
Evo-Spirit, a long-standing player in electric mobility in France, complies with the new decree on EDPMs (Motorised Personal Mobility Devices) published on 25/10/2019. Our electric skateboards and electric scooters finally have a legal status.
This decree is an authorisation, not a restriction
Some see the decree as a restriction on use… But it's the opposite. Previously, electric scooters were officially banned everywhere, even if a tolerance had existed for 10 years.
Today you can legally ride on the road in urban areas, with the main constraint being limited to 25 km/h. Evo-Spirit anticipated these technical constraints to make all its models compliant.
What changes depending on your device
🛴 Electric Scooters
All our scooters are limited to 25 km/h, equipped with a bell, front and rear lights, and reflectors on the sides to be visible at night.
🛹 Electric Skateboards
Two versions to choose from. The EDPM version, limited to 25 km/h with lights, reflectors, and a finger bell. The Sport version, unrestricted, reserved exclusively for private land.
You can have both remote controls and choose depending on how you ride.
🏍 Scooters and Motorbikes
Evo-Spirit electric scooters and motorbikes are not affected by this decree: they are already road-approved in the L1e-B category.
Make your device compliant
Scooters purchased before the decree
The 25 km/h limitation is already in place on all our models, no action is necessary.

- Reflectors: available to install on the front tube.
Skateboards purchased before the decree
- Switcher v1 and Curve v3: limited remote controls, reflectors, lights, and a finger bell are available.
- Evo-LSC: already limited to 25 km/h by design.
- Older models: setting the remote control to "medium" speed is sufficient to stay below 25 km/h.
