The Cruz V2 in brief
The Cruz V2 is a compact and lightweight (8.2 kg) electric cruiser designed for the city. With a real-world range of 25 km, a top speed of 42 km/h tested by GPS, and an interchangeable battery in under a minute, it's the ideal companion for urban commutes. The 3 mm foam-like grip and the deck's flex effectively absorb vibrations, making every ride comfortable.
✅ Strengths

Versatile: From beginner to pro mode
Refined design: Bamboo finish, marbled casing
⚠️ Limitations
Cruiser format: Less stable at very high speeds

Retro design and comfort
At Evo-Spirit, the deck is a signature. The Cruz V2 continues this tradition with a 7-ply maple and bamboo deck. The flex is moderate: supple enough to absorb vibrations, but rigid enough to maintain responsiveness.
What immediately stands out is the "fish tail" shape, reminiscent of 80s skateboards. But it's not just about style: the rear kicktail allows for on-the-spot U-turns, which really makes a difference in the city.
A nice little detail: the 3 mm foam-effect grip. It's a change from classic abrasive grip tape, and it clearly contributes to comfort. The bamboo casing with its marbled effect adds a touch of elegance.
Removable in 1 minute
Double your range without making the skateboard heavier
The Cruz V2 battery slides into the deck and is removed with 4 screws. In less than a minute, you can swap it out. This is one of the model's big advantages: you can carry a spare battery and double your range without needing to charge between sessions.
With the standard 7 Ah (252 Wh) battery, Guillaume measured a real-world range of over 25 km on the road with urethane wheels. With CloudWheels, expect around 15-18 km depending on the intensity of use.
3 wheel options
Adapt your ride to your style
The Cruz V2 is offered with three types of wheels. Each offers a different compromise between grip, comfort, and range. Guillaume tested all three configurations to give you his first-hand opinion.
90 mm Urethane
80A hardness. Smooth glide on smooth asphalt, better range and high torque. The ideal choice for daily urban commutes.
CloudWheel Rover 110 mm
Better shock absorption, versatility, and grip on different terrains. For those who switch between tarmac and trails.
CloudWheel Discovery 105 mm
Wider contact patch for superior grip and optimal stability on asphalt. A good compromise between comfort and performance.
What Guillaume measured
Reliable GPS measurements in the field
For his test, Guillaume used double GPS tracking (phone paired with Insta360 + Garmin watch) for reliable measurements. The result: 41-42 km/h at peak, slightly above the announced 39 km/h. In terms of range, he covered over 25 km with urethane wheels on a smooth road.
With CloudWheels, the range drops to about 15 km, but Guillaume rode in intensive mode: trails, grass, uphill... conditions that put a lot of strain on the battery.
Maneuverability and feel
The short wheelbase makes the Cruz V2 very manoeuvrable. Even with single pivot trucks, carving is engaging, and you quickly feel confident. It's a skateboard that invites you to play, to link turns.
The cruiser format has its limits: at 40 km/h+, you'll feel that the stability doesn't match a longboard's. But that's not its purpose: the Cruz V2 excels in urban commutes, slaloming between pedestrians, and relaxed carving sessions.
- Short wheelbase for maximum manoeuvrability
- Engaging and intuitive carving
- Lightweight at 8.2 kg
- Side handle for easy transport
3 speed modes
The remote control allows you to switch between 3 riding modes. Low mode is perfect for beginners, offering very gentle acceleration. Medium mode is suitable for daily use. Pro mode unleashes full power for experienced riders.
