Poland has a clear legal framework for motorized personal mobility devices. Here are the rules you need to know to ride your e-skate legally.
🧭 Official Status
Poland is one of the few European countries to have integrated electric skateboards into law.
They belong to the category of UTO (personal transport devices), with precise rules for their daily use.
⚙️ Legal Requirements
Top speed: 20 km/h on bike paths.
Sidewalks: allowed only at walking speed, with total priority for pedestrians.
Roadway: prohibited.
Minimum age: 10 years old with a cyclist card or license (AM, A1, B1, T).
Riding on public roads is prohibited for those under 10.18 years and older: no license required.

🚫 Passengers, animals, or bulky items.
🚫 Phone in hand while riding.
🚫 Towing another vehicle.
📋 🅿️ Parking
Allowed on sidewalks if no dedicated space exists, provided that you:
park the skateboard parallel to the edge of the sidewalk,
leave at least 1.5 meters for pedestrians to pass.
If not respected, the device may be removed at the owner's expense.
