Electric Skateboarding in Croatia
Regulations 2026
In Croatia, the regulations for electric skateboards are still a bit unclear. Here's what we know and our advice for riding safely.
intro
⚖️ Partially Unregulated
In Croatia, the law now distinguishes electric scooters but still ignores e-skates. This creates a fragile tolerance: some law enforcement officers turn a blind eye, while others issue fines.
📋 Legal Reference (Electric Scooters)
Top speed: 25 km/h.
Motor power: ≤ 600 W.
Helmet mandatory; reflective vest at night.
Ride on bike paths or sidewalks (at walking pace) if no bike path is available.
E-skates
Not mentioned → their use depends on local interpretation. If stopped, they may be considered "unapproved motorized vehicles."
Risk: fine for "inappropriate use of a motorized vehicle."
📋 In Practice
Private spots and rides outside urban areas are generally tolerated. However, in city centers, it's best to be as discreet as possible: keep your speed low and maintain a calm demeanor.
🛹 What Evo-Spirit Offers
Given the lack of a precise legal framework in Croatia, we recommend riding cautiously and choosing a board limited to 25 km/h with full lighting.
Our versatile model: the Switcher V3 Sport, adaptable to any situation.
L'essentiel
In Croatia, there's no specific legal framework for e-skates. Ride safely, make sure you're well-equipped, and stay informed about any regulatory changes ⚡
