Frequently Asked Questions about the NEXUS
The NEXUS is Evo-Spirit's entry-level electric mountainboard, designed for discovering and progressing on all terrains. Its two 6384 brushless motors (6 400 W combined), its Samsung 50S 648 Wh battery, and its 6 types of interchangeable wheels allow it to adapt from forest trails to all-terrain paths, with 35 km of range in standard configuration. Belt drive transmission, bindings included, spring trucks. Designed and tested in Pornichet (Loire-Atlantique) since 2007, guaranteed for 2 years (battery, motors, labour), spare parts available 10 years after purchase. Over 4.000 riders use their boards daily. After-sales support can be reached at 02 40 22 16 22, Monday to Friday. From €1.890. Delivery costs calculated at checkout.
What is the real-world range of the NEXUS?
The NEXUS has a range of 35 km in standard all-terrain configuration (8-inch inflatable wheels). It varies depending on the terrain, rider weight, temperature, and selected power mode (Eco, Normal, Sport, Sport+). The Samsung 50S 648 Wh battery (50.4 V / 15 Ah, 12S3P configuration) recharges in 4 hours. It is guaranteed for 2 years and available as a spare part.
Is the NEXUS suitable for beginners?
Yes, the NEXUS is suitable for beginners thanks to its 4 power modes adjustable from the remote control. Eco mode limits speed and smooths acceleration for safely discovering mountainboarding. Normal mode is for daily use, Sport for progressive riders, and Sport+ unleashes 6 400 W at 55 km/h. The spring trucks and 8-inch inflatable wheels offer natural stability, which is beneficial when you're starting out. The Evo-Spirit team can be reached at 02 40 22 16 22 to advise every rider.
Can the wheels be changed easily?
Yes, the NEXUS is compatible with 6 types of wheels, changeable in minutes with the tools provided. Options include: 6-inch, 7-inch, and 8-inch inflatables for all-terrain (from most compact to most extreme), 140mm Airless puncture-proof for zero maintenance, 115mm Soft Rubber, and 130mm Urethane for urban riding (the latter two require riser pads). Each type changes the behaviour: inflatables absorb shocks on trails, urban wheels offer more glide on asphalt. All are available as spare parts on the website.
Where is Evo-Spirit's after-sales support located?
Evo-Spirit's after-sales support workshop is located at 2C avenue du Gulf Stream, 44380 Pornichet (Loire-Atlantique). A team of specialised technicians repairs all Evo-Spirit models there, including older ones. Every part of the NEXUS is individually repairable: motor, battery, ESC controller, spring trucks, deck, wheels, belt drive belts, and bearings. Original parts are available for at least 10 years after purchase. For riders who live further away, shipping by carrier is possible. Average lead time: 3 to 5 working days. After-sales support contact: 02 40 22 16 22 or info@evo-spirit.com.
What is the warranty?
The NEXUS comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering the lithium battery, deck, motors, and labour. This duration is twice the minimum legal warranty in France. In case of a breakdown, the Pornichet after-sales support handles diagnosis and repair free of charge during the warranty period. Beyond that, all spare parts remain individually available for a minimum of 10 years. Evo-Spirit is one of the few electric skateboard manufacturers to offer integrated after-sales support with a workshop in France.
Is there a road-legal version?
Yes, the NEXUS is available as an EDPM version, limited to 25 km/h in accordance with French regulations on motorised personal transport devices. This version is legal on public roads, cycle paths, and areas authorised by municipalities. The limitation is achieved by software settings of the controller. Third-party liability insurance is mandatory. Wearing a helmet is recommended (mandatory outside urban areas). Front and rear lighting, as well as an audible warning device, are necessary for night riding. Minimum age: 14 years.
What is the weight of the NEXUS?
The NEXUS weighs 17.5 kg in all-terrain configuration. This weight includes the Samsung 50S 648 Wh battery, the two 6384 brushless motors, the maple/bamboo/fibreglass deck, and the aluminium spring trucks. The NEXUS remains portable by hand for short distances, a consistent weight for an electric mountainboard of this power (6 400 W) and range.
Do you deliver across Europe?
Yes, Evo-Spirit delivers the NEXUS across Europe with dispatch within 48 hours from the Pornichet warehouse. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. For other European countries (Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, etc.), shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Payment is possible in 2, 3, or 4 instalments with reduced fees via Alma. VAT is included for all European Union countries (OSS). The parcel is shipped by GLS or Mondial Relay depending on the destination.
What is the difference between the NEXUS and the NEXUS Pro?
The NEXUS uses a belt drive transmission (belt), while the NEXUS Pro is equipped with a gear drive (gears) with gold anodised finishes and a premium CNC aluminium remote control. The battery and motor specs are identical (6 400 W, 648 Wh, 55 km/h). The NEXUS is the accessible entry-level mountainboard; the NEXUS Pro is for riders looking for a quieter, more rigid, and more durable transmission for intensive use.
Are the bindings included?
Yes, the bindings are supplied with the NEXUS. Adjustable for all shoe sizes and removable in seconds, they allow total control for freeride, fast descents, and jumps. This is a strong point of electric mountainboards compared to longboards: the straps hold your foot and allow for more precise trajectories on uneven terrains.
Available in EDPM version
The NEXUS Classic is also available in an EDPM version, limited to 25 km/h for legal use on public roads, cycle paths, and authorised areas.
