Frequently asked questions about the Xplorer V2 EDPM

Evo-Spirit designs, assembles, and repairs its electric skateboards in Pornichet (Loire-Atlantique) since 2007. The brand offers 8 models (electric cruisers, longboards, and mountainboards) from €790 to €2.390. All are covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty (battery, motor, and labour), with original spare parts available for at least 10 years after purchase. After-sales support is provided directly by the Pornichet workshop, reachable by phone or email from Monday to Friday. More than 4.000 riders use their boards daily. The answers below address the most common questions: range, speed, model choice, regulations, and maintenance.

What is the real-world range of the Xplorer V2?

The range of the Xplorer V2 varies from 40 to 70 km depending on the wheel configuration and usage conditions. With 105 mm or 140 mm street wheels, the range reaches 60 to 70 km on flat roads thanks to their low rolling resistance. In all-terrain configuration with 7-inch (175 mm) pneumatic wheels, the range is between 30 and 40 km. The Samsung 50S battery of 756 Wh (36V 21Ah) is one of the largest on the market in this category. Factors influencing the range are the rider's weight, elevation, outside temperature, and the selected power mode (Eco, Normal, Sport, or Sport+). The battery is guaranteed for 2 years and available as a spare part.

Is the Xplorer V2 suitable for beginners?

Yes, the Xplorer V2 is suitable for beginners thanks to its 4 power modes adjustable from the remote control. Eco mode limits the speed to approximately 15 km/h and softens acceleration, allowing you to get used to it safely. Normal mode goes up to 25 km/h, Sport mode to 35 km/h, and Sport+ unleashes the full power of the 6400W motors (55 km/h). The wide deck (28 cm) and pneumatic wheels offer natural stability that reassures beginners. The Evo-Spirit team in Pornichet is available by phone (02 40 22 16 22) to advise every rider.

Can the wheels be changed easily?

Yes, the Xplorer V2 is compatible with 9 different types of wheels, changeable in 10 to 15 minutes with the tools provided. Options include: 7-inch (175 mm) pneumatic wheels for all-terrain, 8-inch (200 mm) pneumatic wheels for maximum comfort, 6-inch puncture-proof solid wheels for zero maintenance, 105 mm street wheels for fast asphalt, and 140 mm street wheels for a comfort/speed compromise. Each wheel type modifies the board's behaviour: pneumatic wheels absorb vibrations on trails, street wheels offer more speed and range on roads. All wheels are available as spare parts on the website.

Where is Evo-Spirit's after-sales support located?

The Evo-Spirit after-sales support workshop is located at 2C avenue du Gulf Stream, 44380 Pornichet (Loire-Atlantique). A team of specialist technicians repairs all Evo-Spirit models there, including older ones. Every part of the Xplorer V2 is individually repairable: motor, battery, controller, ESC, trucks, deck, wheels, belts, and bearings. Original spare parts are available for at least 10 years after purchase. For riders who can't visit in person, shipping by carrier is possible. The average repair time is 3 to 5 working days. After-sales support contact: 02 40 22 16 22 or info@evo-spirit.com.

What is the warranty?

The Xplorer V2 comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering the lithium battery, the deck, the motors, and labour. This duration is twice the minimum legal warranty in France. In case of a breakdown, the Pornichet after-sales support handles diagnosis and repair free of charge. Beyond the warranty period, all spare parts remain individually available for a minimum of 10 years. Evo-Spirit is one of the few electric skateboard manufacturers to offer integrated after-sales support with a workshop in France.

What is the legal top speed on public roads?

This board is limited to 25 km/h by software settings, in accordance with French EDPM regulations. It is legal on public roads, cycle paths, and areas authorised by municipalities. To ride, third-party liability insurance is mandatory. Wearing a helmet is recommended and compulsory outside urban areas. Front/rear lighting and an audible warning device are required for night riding. The minimum legal age is 14 years old. The speed limit does not alter the mechanics or the range.

What is the weight of the Xplorer V2?

The Xplorer V2 weighs 15.4 kg in all-terrain configuration with 7-inch pneumatic wheels. This weight includes the Samsung 50S battery of 756 Wh, the dual 6400W motors, the maple/fibreglass deck, and the aluminium trucks. In street configuration (105 mm wheels), the weight drops slightly. This is a reasonable weight for an all-terrain skateboard of this power and range. By comparison, competing all-terrain skateboards of equivalent power generally weigh between 14 and 20 kg. The Xplorer V2 can be carried by hand for short distances.

Do you deliver across Europe?
